Tenerife Property

Tenerife is well established as an overseas property destination, in particular the south of the island, which has seen a major boom in property prices over the last 10 years. However there are still many new and resale properties available, and excellent deals can be found. Recent property developments in Tenerife are now catering for the more discerning buyer with the old image gradually giving way to a new and more sophisticated property market.

Tenerife has in the past been associated with a thriving vibrant young peoples island, and while maintaining some of those characteristics, developers have turned to the quality market, with many of the properties and developments built for the client who is looking for a quieter quality property. However in the previously developed areas there and still many holiday apartments at excellent prices.

About Tenerife

Tenerife , "the island of eternal spring", is the largest island of the archipelago. The island offers varied landscapes: from the semi-desert scrub of the south coast, to the lush vegetation and fertile valleys of the north.

The island has volcanic origins and is naturally mountainous. The peak of El Teide, surrounded by the Las Cañadas National Park and the pine forrests of the upper slopes dominate the landscape. With a height of 3.718 meters El Teide is not only the highest mountain of Spain, but as well the highest elevation in all the Atlantic Ocean. A cableway takes visitors up from its base int he Las Cañadas National Park to within 100 metres of the summit.
